Caremaid Services Ltd

Fantastic care provider and carers

I must use this opportunity to write this review as I would like other families out there to know that we do still have fantastic care service providers out there who can provide users with outstanding and caring service while giving family members like myself peace of mind and value for money. I have used various major care providers in the past but can categorically conclude that my grandmother is receiving the best care available and feels extremely happy and safe with her carers. Most importantly, the carers at Caremaid treat my naan like their own. They care for her with love and treat her with dignity even in her most vulnerable time. All members of my family including myself are now able to function properly at our workplaces knowing fully well that our naan who has been living with dementia for sometime now is properly looked after when we are not there. Caremaid is a company I would like to recommend to those who can access their services. They work with the family to provide the best possible care. They go over and beyond to ensure that naan is properly cared for. The cares are humane and kind. We as a family have not had any reasons to complain because the Caremaid team keep us informed at all times and are always willing to help out when we have specific requests to make i.e. appointments, meals or medication and most importantly, naans hygiene and environment. I can go on and on because we have had horrible experiences in the past. All i can say is that we are now getting value for money and can see that naan is happier and looking healthier. I have started to recommend Caremaid to those I know and would encourage others to give them a try.

A care agency that appears not to care

I do not have one single good thing to say about this agency.
Timekeeping is appalling, constantly late, & office staff very unhelpful, and just make excuses, and I have been shouted down when trying to get an answer.
would not recommend care-maid to anyone. They are always late and can be by 1-2 hours. The carers do not seem be trained well in their position, have to be reminded on what needs to be done. They have no communication or social skills. Carer seems to be in a bad mood mostly. When late there is no apology. Have complained several times to head office but no action is taken. While caring they will be using their mobile! I would suggest you not require a carer from this company. Hopefully there will be a change from the social service. If i could give 0 stars out of 5, i would. Nothing positive from this company
To sum up , a very bad experience.I therefore cannot recommend them to anyone.

Negative Experience

Visits up to 2 hours late. Poor training in personal care, medication, food hygiene, and patient transfers. No care plan written up, so no continuity of care. Carer's diary of visits only appeared the day after the District Nurse queried where it was. No risk assessments in place for manual handling. No medication charts to indicate which tablets had been administered. Very poor communication between care giver and client. We finally cancelled on the 6th day when the agency failed to show up for their morning visit (scheduled for 8am and when I rang at 9.30am, I was told they didn't know how long they'd be). Far more training needed to bring this Agency up to a standard suitable for caring for the elderly and vulnerable. A real concern that the agency were put in place by social services upon my Mother's discharge from a 3 month stay in hospital.
