The White House (Curdridge) Limited

A FABULOUS PLACE

My friend has lived in The White House for almost two years. She is a young dementia sufferer who has been cared for by the most amazing group of staff who treat her as an individual - they understand her personality and pay special attention to all the things she enjoys (hairdressing, nail treatments, chocolate cake). Happy and caring staff who always have time for clients and their families.
Wonderful secure grounds with many birds and unusual animals.
Many thanks to you all.

very caring to residents andrelatives

My wife has dementia , and is some times very difficult to be with, the staff at the White House however seem to have avery good relationship with her,and are always cheerful and caring. She has had three stays of one week duration, and attends the day centre twice a week, and seems to really enjoy going. The facilities are excellent and the gardens very restful, with a variety of animals and birds to occupy the residents, and visitors! It is set in the country side which is very peaceful.

Warm, nurturing, home from home.

My friend has lived here for several years. I chose it carefully and have not been disappointed. There is a special family-like environment, lovely secure gardens and animals. Staff turnover is low and staff know the residents very well. There are regular group minibus outings and some individual outings too. There are good daily activities and entertainments. It is clean, spacious and the home-cooked food is good. It is such a welcoming place to visit. I would happily live there myself.

Highly Recommend The White House

My wife has been at The White House for 4 years after being at the Day Center for 2. She is happy and very well looked after by a dedicated and skilful team of Carers. She loves the excellent secure gardens and animals, where she can stroll at her leisure in complete safety. She is taken on regular outside outings, and has the chance to participate the daily activities within the house whenever she chooses. I have no reservations about recommending the White house to anyone.

Would highly recommend this home.

The staff are wonderfully dedicated, and clearly very experienced. Mother particularly likes all of the animals in the beautiful and extensive gardens. Different activities take place every day and I have seen first hand how staff tailor activities to suit all individuals, also just how much mother benefits from these. I visit mother several times a week, at different times of the day, yet have never found mother to be anything other than happy and well cared for. I would certainly recommend.

Unique and dedicated home

I have worked at The White House for 7 years now and just couldn't imagine working anywhere else. The dedication to our residents' happiness and well-being from Julie and Emma, and all staff is clear for all to see. The staff turnover is very low, again due to the kind and caring professionalism of Julie and Emma and the fantastic working conditions. Every resident is treated as an individual in every aspect of their care, living in a homely and friendly environment.

wonderful care -thoroughly recommend

The White House cared for my wife' sister for nearly 2 years after she entered with early onset dementia age 55.
During that time we raised no concerns about her care and found all of the staff wonderfully caring. She has now moved onto nursing care. The White House coped well with a few medical emergencies and treated her with dignity throughout. The facilties in individual rooms and external safe space are excellent.
Thoroughly recommend and happy to provide more detailed references.

Wouldnt leave my dog here!

The carers are wonderful, but woefully overworked. They need more experienced staff on duty at all times. The place is often unclean, no cleaners at weekends at all. The lounge area smells strongly of urine, it should be cleaned more often. Meals portions are poor. I wouldnt let them have my dog, sadly my relative has to stay here as its the only home 'dedicated' to dementia care in the area suitable for their needs.
