Belmont Castle Care Home
Belmont Castle is set in three acres of beautiful gardens, with panoramic views across the Solent and the Downs, it was established as a Residential Care Home in April 1986. The management of Belmont Castle pride them-selves on offering a highly professional care service for the elderly, with a personal touch. We are pleased to accept residents for long term, short term, convalescence, respite and holiday stays.
Residential care should never be regarded as a last resort; it can be a new beginning, which provides comfort and security to enjoy our later years of life. It can eliminate the problems of the day-to-day living and should be a most effective way of overcoming loneliness.

Friendly cheerful staff, despite the challenges...
I visit an elderly resident of this home quite frequently. I have found the staff very helpful despite the tough challenges that they face. The home is clean and tidy. Most of the residents seem happy.

An excellent home
As soon as we walked in to Belmont Castle we felt comfortable with the place. Friendly staff and a detailed tour of the facilities.
My mother-in-law moved in a couple of months ago and has settled well. The staff are attentive and sympathetic to her problems and she seems at ease, which at this stage of her life is the most important thing.

Lovely staff and exceptional level of care
I can only speak from my personal perspective, of visiting two recent new residents at Belmont Castle. The staff strive to live their values of respecting the individual. Those living there are not relegated to \'simply living in a nursing home\' with perhaps such negative connotations. Instead, it really is a new start!! This home offers comfort, safety, compassion and many many vibrant activities. As one resident said to me recently she 'no longer feels lonely' and I sleep well because she is so happy. This is an exceptional place, filled with laughter and love :-)

Dedicated carers putting the needs of residents...
From the moment Mum stepped through the front door of Belmont Castle, the staff have only ever treated her with kindness.
Nothing is too much trouble whether you're a resident or a visitor- for example we are always offered a cup of tea.
As we live some distance from Mum it is so re-assuring to know that Mum is happy, extremely well cared for, and most importantly safe. The staff's attention to detail in these requirements is amazing.

Dedicated and caring staff in excellent...
Whenever I visit my mother, I am greatly impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the staff in the home. This impression reinforces her own reports of the support she has received. She welcomes the opportunities to chat with staff despite the calls on their time and to get to know them as individuals. I always find the atmosphere welcoming and cheerful. This is natural and not forced and flies in the face of the stereotypes some people may have of depressing and gloomy residential care home environments. Belmont Castle to the contrary is a place full of life and good spirits.
I live a considerab;le distance from the home so I am glad to be able to be assured that my mother is receiving the best possible care. On a practical note, I often arrive from a 2 hour car journey around lunchtime. I am not only impressed that I have always been offered a meal, but that staff bring the tray to my mother's room so I can maximise my visit time by eating with her, rather than in the area downstairs. At other times of the day, I have similarly been brought up cups of tea, although there are drink making facilities downstairs. This in itself a small gesture, but it is symptomatic of the extra mile that staff are willing to go on behalf of residents and those visiting them.

Our mother went to Belmont House for respite care for the first time on 5th September. We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation and the facilities offered to her (including piping icing). The grounds are beautifully kept. The staff were all friendly and available when needed. We were also impressed by the professional attitude and efficiency of the administrative staff.
We have already booked Mum in for a second stay, which says it all.

Friendly with High Standard of Care
We looked at 4 other homes before Belmont Castle but during our tour I felt we had found the right place. One home had already rejected mum due to her high needs but Juanita was very kind & accepted her immediately. The prognosis for mum was not good but she has improved remarkably with the high standard of care provided. She is now walking unaided, looks healthier and is much brighter. Key features are caring staff, homely atmosphere, good food & welcome to all visitors.

Very friendly and homely care home
My Nan had to be placed in residential care in an unplanned emergency situation. My nan had spent the previous year living with her son/my dad however he unfortunately died so we didn't have long to find a care home. Belmont castle was the 2nd home we viewed and I knew straight away from the friendly welcome from the manager, staff and homely atmosphere that my nan would be well looked after. The home was very sympathetic and understanding of my Nans situation and accommodated her immediately

Mum spent two weeks at Belmont Castle last month to give my dad a well needed rest. The care and dedication shown by the staff, is head and shoulders above what we had observed at other homes we visited. They were quick to evaluate mums needs and involve her in a way she responded to. Mum returned home, but we soon realised that we could no longer give her the constant care and attention she deserved. She is now a resident. Facilities are excelent and nothing here is ever too much trouble.

a home from home
I had to make the difficult decision to find a care home for my mother 8 months ago & I was fortunate to find Belmont Castle, a welcoming atmosphere is apparent the moment you enter the home, it is not the most modern building but makes up for this with caring, attentive staff who treat the residences with respect and dignity. The meals are varied and plentiful. I feel comfortable asking questions relating to my Mums care, most imprtantly Mum is safe happy and well looked after.

Happy, friendly, clean and homely.
My mother has been a resident at the Belmont Castle for just over a month. Her arrival happenned very quickly as my father (her carer) was taken very ill and our family had to organise care for mum. We had researched care homes in the area and our favourite was the Belmont Castle. Mum was made to feel so welcome as were all her family, nothing was too much trouble, we have peace of mind knowing that we can ring or pop in any time of day or night. We are so releived that mum is safe and happy

Continues to care excellently
Manager and staff laid on Jubilee Celebrations for Residents and families by holding a 'Street Party'. Tables were laid up with union flag tablecloths, plates, cups and serviettes. Food was in abundance including a cake decorated as a union flag. Land of Hope and Glory was sung with much gusto whilst waving their union flags. Next day was spent watching H.M.Queens Thanksgiving programme and lunching on fish and chips in paper, just like the good old days. Everyone had a fantastic time. THANKS!

On Tues they watched the ceremonies on TV and had a Fish and Chip lunch - enjoyed by most.

Excellent care home for elderly
My mother spent five weeks at Belmont Castle so that my wife (her carer) could visit relatives abroad.
My mother was made very welcome and was looked after very well. Her room was excellent, as was the food.
Every effort was made to keep her happy. Indeed, now that she is about to return home with us, she is reluctant to leave!
I would most certainly consider using Belmont Castle again.
