Situated on the outskirts of Bordon, Ashley House is an exceptional Dementia Care Home and a truly special place.

When you first step into the home, you will feel like you’ve stepped into a time machine. We have put in a lot of effort making our home stimulate reminiscence for our residents as we know that memories are cherished by our residents.

Some of our “time capsule” features include an old fashioned bus stop in our beautiful garden, an old fashioned cottage kitchen, with a traditional range and vintage furniture and equipment, and our wonderful on-site pub, the Dog and Trumpet, which has a working gramophone and old records - a lovely area to meet up with family and friends to have lunch and a drink.

We work hard to create surroundings and activities that enriches the lives of our residents. We know that having a variety of options for things to do each day is vital to the wellbeing of our residents. Whether it’s simply planting hanging baskets in our garden, reading to the children at the local nursery on their weekly visit, or feeling the sand between their toes in the sandpit in our garden, there’s always something new for our staff and residents to enjoy.

Another vital part of life at Ashley House is our mealtimes. Often having dementia can mean that you lose your appetite and find it hard to make choices. Our chefs work with this knowledge front of mind, and create beautifully presented dishes which are served to our residents at their table. Allowing them to visualise and smell the food really encourages them to enjoy it. We make sure there are no interruptions during meals so that our residents can eat at their own pace. We also always make sure there’a a delicious dessert on offer!

To find out more about life at Ashley House, please do not hesitate to give us a call where we can answer any questions you have and arrange a virtual or in person tour.
