We're situated on Hundens Lane on the site of a former bowling green and park in Darlington. Our home has extensive gardens designed to meet our residents' needs.

Hundens Park provides 24-hour nursing care for frail older people, care for people with sensory impairments, physical disabilities and dementia. We provide end of life care and respite care, including post-operative respite care. The nursing home also houses the Darnton Suite, providing support and care for people living with dementia and those who may display distress reactions.

Personalised care plans are tailored to each individual and are regularly reviewed to accommodate changing needs with the individual and family involved wherever possible. Care plans ensure that a consistent level of care is provided and that needs are met, and are intended to help encourage independence, support life skills and enable freedom of choice.

All staff are appropriately qualified. The staff team includes 24-hour nursing cover, managers and care staff specially trained in dementia care, activities co-ordinators, together with hospitality, maintenance, administrative management and trained chefs. Hundens Park's staff work in conjunction with local GPs, community health services and any medical support selected by the individual.

Why not call in for a cup of tea and find out more about our care and what we can offer?

Care, activities, facilities and food are all major focuses at our home.
