Hillside Care Home is a purpose-built facility designed to suit many personal care and nursing needs, run by a team of staff who understand the needs of the elderly and people with physical disabilities, as well as more specialist services such as end-of-life care.

There is excellent support from local healthcare specialists – GP practices, physiotherapist, speech and language therapist, dietician, chiropodist, wheelchair services, dentist and optician.

Service users benefit from an activities co-ordinator who ensures that there is usually something interesting going on including visiting entertainment, discussion times, word games, trips out to town, as well as lots of music and they sit out on the sunny patio whenever they can. They also have a Chaplain who gets to know all residents and is there for support when they need her. And there are some invaluable volunteers who are happy to chat and to help with activities and outings.

Nearby attractions include the town shops, pubs and cafes, and also the chance to experience a great deal of natural scenery and wildlife within a short drive.
