Reviews of this nursery and group childcare setting
Reflections Nursery
The place to be !
Thomas spent 3 wonderful years at Reflections allowing him to live everything a child can dream to live at that age. His favorite activities: Forest school, to do gardening with the garden atelierista and play outside in the marvelous big garden. This place is a paradise for a child who can explore a lot of concepts by himself. To sum up, I will repeat the words of Thomas' teacher: "He is a very creative and imaginative boy." Reflections definitely contributed to nurture this creativity. MERCI++

Excellent childcare provider
Our daughter attended Reflections from the age of 18 months old until she recently went to school. We saw her develop very quickly and as she progressed through the nursery her changing needs were catered for brilliantly. Now that she is at school, she misses the staff and nursery and has very fond memories of her time at Reflections. I thoroughly recommend the nursery, especially the forest school, to anyone and cannot speak highly enough of the team who helped our little girl develop.

Friendly and creative care
My daughter had a fantastic time at Reflections. At Forest School, children go to a local forest to learn all about the natural environment. While with me she had never been a risk taker and wouldn't walk very far. Once she had been attending Forest School for a few months I saw a big change, she became more physical, was more eager to climb trees, hold worms, walk round the park with me and get muddy! Martin is a fantastic leader of the Forest School programme and the Reggio Emilia approach.

'Wonderful'
My son started at 'Reflections' when he was 6 months old and left just after his 4th Birthday to start school. He loved every day he was there, made lots of friends, and' rugby tots' was one of his favourite activities! He's doing fantastically well at school and we owe a lot of that to 'Reflections'. The team are absolutely brilliant and all looked after him so well. We are looking forward to our new baby going to reflections next year.

I have 3 girls 4,5 & 9 that have been involved with this nursery since they were 3mths old until they left for school at 4yrs. They have never refused to go and have always come out happy. They enjoy it so much that they still go to the after School club and School holiday club.

Safe, caring and fun nursery
My daughter went to Reflections for over 3 years and absolutely loved it. There are always different activities and experiences going on which the children are encouraged to join in with but don't have to if they don't want to. She has just started school and misses nursery so much that I've decided to send her to their holiday club for a couple of days just so she can see everyone again! My son started in the toddler section about 6 months ago and seems just as happy there.

A complete nursery, absolutely brilliant.
Our daughter was at Reflections for 2 years and enjoyed every moment of it! The nursery is like no other and the moment we visited it for the first time we knew it was the one we wanted her to go to. We thought it was brilliant that Martin (the owner) got involved in the day to day activities like forest school but not forgetting all the staff at Reflections that make it was it is! Our newborn will be going there as well. I would recommend to anyone and definitely worth the extra few quid!

My son was at reflections from 2 until he recently started school, he loved his time at the nursery he especially enjoyed forest school, time in the garden and the creative activities. I felt very happy he was in very very good hands. It was lovely to know he was eating home cooked food made at the nursery. The extended hours were a real help for me because I had to commute for an hour each way. A brilliant nursery and when we have another one i will be putting their name down :)

Absolutely outstanding!
My son attended Reflections from a baby through till he was four. He always looked forward to going which is usually a good sign. They provided him with a safe and stimulating environment where he was encouraged to play and explore in a way that was suited to him. When he started school he was a very confident, independent and sociable child and I would like to thank Reflections for the positive input they had in his early years of development.

Innovative, friendly and very reliable.
In the 3 years our son attended Reflections he made great progress there. The management are friendly yet professional. They are forward thinking and always put the children's needs first. The staff are great & Josh loved all of the practitioners who looked after him. They keep track of the progress the child and have regular parent evenings. They also have a lovely garden where the children plant fruit and veg. It also gave us peace of mind knowing it is very secure. To sum up-a great nursery!

Phenomenal!
My daughter couldn't wait to start the day every time she was due to go to Reflections. She had the most amazing experiences at Forest School. Even now, just over a year later I still see the effects Reflections had on my daughter through her love of learning, which really helped her transition into school.
The staff go above and beyond the call of duty. My daughter still loves to talk about Martin and Shelly.
We can't wait to send our son once I go back to work.

Fabulous nursery & after-school club
My daughter started at Reflections at the age of 1 in July 2008. 4 years later, she is now at Cafe Zone, the breakfast and after school club.
The staff, facilities & setting are fantastic and the level of care provided is superb. Need I say more! Go see for yourself!

Excellent, exciting, friendly and welcoming
My daughter joined Reflections when she was 2,5 years old and stayed there till school. We've been very happy with this valuable time in her life, which gave her a great opportunity to develop her skills, mind, emotions and phisical abilities. I would say it's changed and widen the way she looks at the surrounding world, showing its fascinating side. We enjoyed together plenty of thematic activities like light, paper, wire workshops as well as a huge garden and its plants nursery. Thank you!

My son Iggy attended Reflections (Pre school) for one year, after moving into the area from London. He loved it especially Forest school and the creative skills that are encouraged in the Art department. He now attends the nursery for after school club and also holiday club which are very well organised and the trips out are brilliant.
My second son is now at the nursery and thriving. I feel happy leaving my children, in the knowledge they are getting the best of care.

The ratings say it all
By virtue of the fact that this new ratings website has been populated so readily and so highly by Reflections parents is a testament to how strongly parents feel. It is a fantastic nursery that has grown from strength to strength. For all the niggles (that any parent naturally feels when leaving their children) there are a hundred plus points. Just don't get too big or less focused in this difficult economic climate. My daughter has very fond memories of her time at reflections.

Large private nursery
My son attended this nursery for a year. The premises are large with a superb garden. My son enjoyed the garden the most. He also attended the forest school which was fantastic and had the added benefit of being supervised by Martin (the owner) who is great. Nursery staff are really nice however I did feel that I didn't really get enough information about what my son had been doing during his session and whether he had eaten his food etc.. the feedback seemed a bit standardised.

Nursery care for pre school
We had our 2 children at Reflections for almost 5 years. A safe, clean and friendly experience for all concerned. I was never worried that our boys would be unhappy at this nursery. They had loads to do and made lots of friends. Staff were very good and took great care of our boys. I would highly recommend this nursery. It's not the cheapest but worth the cost in comparison to others.

Very Good care provider
I have been very happy with the level of care provided, in particular with the development activities and work that all the staff put into it. I have been really impressed by this! Since we moved my daughter to the Reflections Nursery, from another provider, we have never looked back.
The only thing I could suggest as an improvement is from a cleaness point of you, they could make a little more effort.
Other than that we have been Very Happy with them.

Friendly, caring, fun and focused
From the day my son started I felt comfortable and very happy leaving him there. He settled in very quickly and even though he didn't have many sessions there he loved it and was always happy to go. The staff are very friendly and approachable - my son loved them all. His day had a little bit of structure but mostly he just had fun and played with his friends. His favourite part of the nursery was the garden, they have an amazing garden and he was out there as much as he could. Great fun.

Good but...
I personally felt reflections was more interested in ticking boxes than in individual children needs. It is very clean and the staff were nice but they took the babies outside twice in 7 months and stayed in the same room the rest of the time. Whenever I picked him up, he was always playing alone and I felt more time was spent getting him to eat with a spoon at 7 months than what he was interested in or developing social skilis. A good nursery but huge and therefore I feel slightly impersonal.

Thank you for the feedback
I am saddened that in your experience your son went outside so infrequently. This is certainly no longer the case - babies enjoy the garden most days of the week. I am sorry too that you found us 'impersonal'. We strongly oppose 'box-ticking' - our approach is to value each individual child. The nursery building is large but children spend time in small groups and are cared for by the same adults who make time to get to know the children in their care. Thank you again for your feedback. Fantastic nursery
Reflections is a fantastic nursery that really lets children be children. The staff are very dedicated and there are some that really go the extra mile. Forest school from the age of 3 further captures the childrens imagination and enthusiasm allowing the children to naturally achieve the nurseries ethos 'learn through play'. The owner plays a very active role, which I believe, is key to its success. My Daughter really grew in confidence and I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to anyone.

My daughter started when I moved to the area and she was 2 1/2, and went full time straight away. She settled in without any issues, and was well looked after from day one from all of the great staff there.
I noticed fantastic improvements in her development throughout her time at Reflections and she was given so many experiences that other nurseries could not have offered her, including the amazing forest school. She found transitions between rooms easy, and also enjoyed her time at Cafe Zone.

The best Nursery in Sussex!
I have 2 children who have both attended Reflections and who now still return for their school holiday club. Both my children adore Reflections and do not want to go home at the end of the day. My youngest has just started school and I have been told is the most articulate in his class and put a lot of this down to Reflections support and work. They use new ideas and explore ways for children to learn without just supervising children in a room full of toys! I would reconmend Reflections to all!
