Little Oaks Day Nursery

Terrible experience

I had a really bad experience with this nursery. I left my daughter (10 months) on her second visit day (settling) and when I came to pick her up I saw she was "eating something", when I checked her mouth there was a piece of something but she swallowed it and I couldn't know what it was, but then when I checked her nappy the day after and I realised that it was a sharp plastic in a "leaf" shape ( 2.5 cm). How could she eat it if she was being locked after by "the teachers"? who were actually two for two kids (that day). So thank God she was OK, but the situation was really scaring because she drowned and she turned red. The staff tried to see if there was something in her mouth but obviously she had swallowed it already. This situation could've ended bad i can't imagine how bad. So if you are considering leaving your child here I'd think it twice because it seems that the staff doesn't take care of children.

Excellent Nursery

Excellent nursery. My child has settled really well at nursery thanks to the lovely staff that work here. The nursery is clean and inviting and the staff are welcoming and my little one loves coming here and he is always happy to go to staff in a morning when I drop off !! The progress he has made since starting is good and is down to the lovely activities that he does every day. All in all an excellent provision !!!

Terrible nursery

This is one of the worst child care facilities I've ever come across. My son (now 8 months) attended for 6 weeks from 1st November 16 to 8th December 16. Various issues arose in those 6 weeks, seriously bad nappy rash due to no cream applied on nappy changes, he would sometime sleep through mealtimes and because of this, not fed. But the more serious incidents which led to me removing him without notice were the injuries he sustaines by another child biting him, the same child on 3 occasions, and on another occasion being grabbed and scratched whilst sat in a high chair. The child in question as a known biter and should have had 1-1 monitoring, but instead was left free to bite my son and several others, one of which being my nephew who has since been removed.the staff neglected my son allowing the same child to bite him
On more than 1 occasion, and the first time it happened tried to cover it up by falsely claiming he went into nursery with those marks!!!!! I would never ever ever reccomend this place to anyone. I've reported them to ofsted, the police, social services, the health visitors and the doctors has seen all injuries cause whilst in their care. They do not abide by the 1-3 ratio, they have no clues how to care for babies!!! Avoid!
