Nature Trails Day Nursery (Cawston)

The best nursery I could wish for

Both my children have been at nature trails, 4 days a week since they were 11 months old. It's a huge leap forward to trust anyone to look after your children and what impresses me about nature trails specifically is: they care. Development, fun, the great outdoors, caring for others, learning and discovery - not to mention socialisation of my kids have all been addressed by a nursery that does so much more than just look after my children for me. I recommend them highly!

****Highly recommended****

I have no hesitation in recommending Nature Trails. The staff are thorough, very professional and are experts in their field. They understand my daughter exceptionally well and continue to develop challenging, fun and thought-provoking activities for her to tackle. I like the whole ethos of nature trails and their focus on nature and the environment. The facilities offer countless opportunities to explore nature and the beautiful surroundings I am a firm believer in the importance of a healthy, varied diet. The menus are well planned and diverse: from lamb tagine, to vegetable curry to shepherds pie to healthy snacks like sardine pate on toast. No turkey twizzlers here!!!

A fantastic nursery in every way

My daughter started in Pre-School in September 2015 and she has settled in brilliantly. Her keyworker spent a lot of time understanding all of her little ways to ensure she was as happy as possible whilst at nursery. But all of the staff in the room seem to know her really well and she is happy with any one of them if her keyworker isn't in.

She has so much fun whilst she is there and particularly likes being outdoors and at Forest School. Her favourite activity is definitely show and tell, she asks every day if it's a show and tell day.

My youngest daughter started in the baby room recently and again i have been so impressed. Her keyworker was meticulous about getting to know her and my daughter seemed to really like her. The first week she was very unsettled as she was also unwell and teething, her keyworker rang me every day to let me know she was ok. Because of how unsettled she had been, in her second week they changed her keyworker to one who would be able to offer her 121 care as she didn't have any other keychildren. Whilst i was comfortable that she would settle eventually after a few weeks, i was so pleased that the nursery were being proactive ensuring she settled fully and was as happy as possible. A few weeks later and she loves nursery, going over to her keyworker full of smiles at drop off.

For both rooms the communication at drop off and pick up has been very thorough. I feel like i get a good understanding of what my daughters have been up to whilst i'm at work. It shines through that all of the staff genuinely love their jobs and care for the children.

Although we were happy with the previous nursery my eldest daughter was at, Nature Trails is in a different league and i'm so glad we've been lucky enough to get our daughters in to the nursery.

Outstanding nursery, brilliant staff

My daughter has been attending nature trails from 1year. She has been through acorn, saplings and currently in sycamore lodge. She has always enjoyed nursery and loves her key workers. The staff have always accommodated her moods in a professional but homely manor making sure she settles. They have also taken extra care during meal times as she is a very fussy eater. The outdoor activities and walks are one of the best things about this nursery.
I have recommend nature trails to many parents and will continue to do so. And I will send future children to nature trails too.
Top grade nursery!

Five stars

My daughter started nature trails when she was 18 months. I was nervous about introducing her to a nursery environment as she had been used to a childminder and more 121 care. She had always been very nervous in groups of children or adults and clung to me in such situations. The staff at nature trails really took time to learn everything about her before we started settling in sessions which helped massively with the transition. Within a couple of weeks she was settled and loved her new friends and carers. Izzy was my first child and I was a little clueless when it came to the next stages of development.... Potty training as an example and the advice the staff gave me was invaluable in tackling such milestones.
Izzy is now in the preschool room and absolutely adores her time there. She looks forward to her nursery days and cannot run in fast enough. I love collecting her and hearing all about her day. The activities she gets up to really Are amazing and so diverse - seeing the chickens, the vegetable garden, outdoor playground (3 to choose from) as well as all the indoor activities including messy play, show and tell - the list is endless. It's a real reassurance to have a qualified teacher in the pre school room who confidently tells me Izzy is already performing at reception standard and my fears of the school transition are really easing as it fast approaches.

As someone who chooses to keep career focused as well as raising a family, it is great to know my children are in such safe hands and I know they are getting up to so many more activities than I would think to introduce them to. I never ever worry about them when they are at Nature Trails and the manager is always looking for ways to improve things and welcomes your feedback and suggestions.

My son is now starting in the baby room and I cannot wait to see his progression through the nursery and see all the familiar faces of the staff as he moves through.

Exemplary nursery with excellent staff

Following an horrendous experience with a local childminder we needed to find a first class nursery for our 2 yr old. After lengthy research and visits we decide on Nature Trails. The best decision we could have made for our child! . Nature Trails is well deserving of it's Ofsted 'outstanding' rating. The care our Daughter receives is second to none thanks to the excellent staff, they are a credit to the nursery and their profession. Our Daughter is learning and thriving on a daily basis thanks to Nature Trails. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great quality care

Both of my children have attended Nature Trails and I was extremely happy with the care provided. They have great outdoor areas and the staff were always warm and inviting. I particularly like the involvement they encourage from parents with open days and their annual Nativity performance. Great Nursery.
