Freshfields Nursery School
In a unique rural setting, just minutes from Stratford town centre, Freshfields Nursery is located in a Georgian Manor House and purpose-built coach house. The children can go for walks up the lane to visit the horses and donkeys in the nearby fields or see the friendly rabbit and goats in the mini-farm. We also have a 6 seater 'turtle bus' which enables even the youngest children access to these lovely natural facilities. Healthy and nutritious meals are cooked on-site by our resident chefs, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Our well-qualified staff are committed to the children in their care and have many years of child-care experience between them. They take the children's interests as a starting point for activities and great fun is had by all! Wellies are an essential piece of outdoor clothing as the children enjoy going outside daily to play on the pirate ship, in the log car or in the sensory garden. In the spring the older children enjoy planting, growing and harvesting seeds, which they then use for cooking or activities. The older children enjoy regular trips to our forest school where they undertake activities such as den building and insect hunting.

Freshfields Nursery School
Outstanding care and provisions
From the first day our daughter started at Freshfields we were welcomed and embraced into what felt like a second family. She started at the tender age of 13 months, so the thought of leaving her with people we didn't know particularly well frightened us to say the least. However, all our feelings of anxiety and nerve dissolved within a matter of minutes when we dropped her off for her first preliminary session. The welcoming staff and managers made the transition from home to nursery an absolute breeze. From the very first preliminary session, where we sat down with our daughters Key Person and went through her routine, her starting points and on entry assessment, we were made to feel valued and considered when discussing our daughters needs and development. She instantly settled into Buttercups and formed established, warm relationships with all the staff who cared for her.
Freshfields offers an abundance of activities, they never cease to amaze me- I only wish I was more creative and adventurous at home! she comes home daily with a piece of her artwork, photographs or sculptures that she has enjoyed creating throughout the day.
The nursery is located within easy access for us to travel to work, amongst an acre and a half of land. This to me is one of their biggest selling points given that no other setting in Stratford comes close to even being able to match the outdoor space. The fees are reasonably priced, considering that our daughter does Ballet, Tots tunes and Football to name but a few, which are all inclusive of the Price. When she turns three she will also be able to do Forest School, French and Tennis.
I can't recommend Freshfields enough, we are looking forward to our next child being able to have the same opportunities that our daughter has had so far, to date. If you are looking for a nursery with warm, welcoming, nurturing staff with outstanding resources and outdoor space then this is the place to be.
Thank you so much Freshfields!

Fantastic, Caring Staff!
My Daughter goes one morning a week at the moment but is starting the sessional care in January. I have just recommended Freshfields to a friend who has a 2 year old and she has now signed him up for two mornings as she was so impressed. Excellent care and amazing facilities. My daughter has serious allergies but the girls who look after Lily always make me feel happy and comfortable when she is in their care. My daughter loves going!

warm, friendly, loving, caring, fun
My son aged 2 has attended Freshfields since he was 10months old and absolutely loves it. The staff are enthusiastic, very caring and he clearly has alot of fun there. The nursery is in a beautiful setting and the children frequently play outside or go d see the rabbits, pigs, chickens etc that are all on sight. They get cooked very nutritious healthy food on site also. Staff give very thorough feedback at the end of each day. I could not recommend this nursery more highly.

Fabulous, caring, professional, great value
I cried after I visited the first three nurseries on my list and thought nursery options might never work for me, then I found Freshfields and both my children have been very happy there ever since. The setting makes a key difference with lots of open space of different types, plus the animals. The staff are wonderful, truly excellent making each class superb. They helped me settle into using a nursery and worked with me at every stage; it is infinitely better than being at home with Mum.

Nursery and Sessional Care
My daughter attends sessional care here, she has settled really well, the staff are great and the nursery seems very well run and organised. The learning environment is great, she is learning letters and numbers very quickly, plus she has the opportunity to learn french which again is great. Outside the play area's, animals, trips to forest school are beyond most childrens wildest dreams. In a nutshell, this is a great environment for a child to learn and grow.

You will not be disappointed
The genuine charm and attentive care was not just experienced on our showround but is how the team are daily. Children are treated as individuals and in our personal experience our daughter's care was framed around her characteristics and not Freshfields expectations. We wanted the best start for our daughter and have that here. The care is outstanding, the setting beautiful and child development paramount in all the team at Freshfields do. We would highly recommend Freshfields Nursery.
