Cedars Nursery

Caring, fun environment!

Like most parents going back to work I missed my son terribly in the first few months, the staff at The Cedars Nursery were so kind telling me that I could ring back to check on him after I dropped him off (it was so reassuring to hear him playing happily in the background) and welcomed me to take a peek at him during the day when I got the chance - again I was reassured and never made to feel like I was a burden even though I'm sure I was a total pest!

Baby didn't settle

Expensive for what it is. Nice area of Sunderland but there are other nurseries in the area which provide much better value for money in my opinion. My son was not happy there and I wasn't either.

professional, friendly, caring, reassuring

My daughter currently attends The Cedars nursery and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a wonderful nursery I feel very happy and relaxed about leaving my daughter there. The staff are very friendly and I have complete peace of mind when I drop my daughter off. She comes home everyday so happy, full of life, full of stories and has come on leaps and bounds. I will be very sad when she leaves to attend school in September.

a friendly caring atmosphere

Charlie started at The Cedars when he was 5 months old. He is now nearly 3. He is well cared for by the friendly staff. The only problems I have ever had are remembering to give the full notice regarding holidays as it is supposed to be 6 weeks and there have been a couple of blips regarding their direct debit system. However the most important thing as far as I'm concerned is that Charlie is happy and safe when he is there and I believe that to be true.

excellent, trustworthy, lovely staff

The Cedars is a lovely nursery. My son started when he was 4 months old and is developing into a sociable, content boy. He loves his sessions and loves the staff. The staff are lovely and do a great job.
In regards to the gentleman who gave them a bad rating, my son is of a similar age to his child so would have been in the same room together and I have never had any problems with the staff giving wrong bottles/leaving the kids unsupervised so can only assume it was a one off.
Highly recommend!

great with the children

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 7 months old and is very bright and very switched on. I believe this is down to the nursery care which has been provided her by the staff at the cedars nursery. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I have a flexible working shift pattern and the cedars nursery accommodate this very well. On occasion, last minute i have rang to request childcare and more often than not this is accommodated.

Excellent!!! high quality care!

I would highly recommend the cedars, the staff are very caring towards the children and i know that my daughter is in safe hands when i leave her, the management have been very flexible with my working rota, which has been a relief as it hasnt been easy going back to work but the staff have been lovely, they care for my daughter as if she was their own, she is very happy at nursery and is always smilling and that makes me a very happy mum!

Atrocious business-zero care for children

5 accidents in three months including a Christmas tree landing on my 6 month olds head unsupervised. very rarely actually saw staff nursing, mainly cleaning or doing admin. lady in office messed up holidays then refused to take my daughter saying they weren't staffed sufficiently. Daughter wouldn't drink milk there and when we took her out of the nursery and collected her stuff we were given not once but twice someone elses bottle teets, slow flow instead of her vari flow. Highly un recommended.
