Tinies - Finchley
I have two children attending Tinies in Finchley, my daughter has been there for the past 2 years & recently my son has joined her. The staff & the care that they provide is amazing. Both of them are very happy & well cared for at Tinies, I love that ALL staff not just those in their rooms, know every child. Being linked with David Lloyd is great as there are more facilities available to use & explore, tennis courts, soft play, sports hall, even if the weather is bad they have plenty of space to run off their energy!
It didn't take long for my son to settle & now he's very content in his room & you can see that he loves his key workers. As his parent it is lovely to hear feedback in the evening of how his day was & almost always a little story that is uniquely him, which makes me happy that he was listened to and observed during the day.
My daughter is very happy too & has taken the transition from room to room very well as it helps that the staff already speak to her & know her even though she has not been in their care. Overall we are very satisfied with our choice of care. Thank you Tinies Finchely!

My eldest son attended Tinies for just over 3 years and it used to be good (I had previously reviewed it as such on this site). Unfortunately I cannot say the same now and I have recently moved my youngest son to another nursery. The staff turnover is very high and the communication between management and parents is pretty awful. Most of the time you would only find out a staff member had left a couple of weeks after the fact. Both my sons have in the past asked me where their 'teachers' had gone and why they weren't at nursery anymore. The administration is even worse so you will need to check your invoices carefully every month. A lot of parents have had problems with this. I have had to chase the manager/deputy manager repeatedly for answers to questions or documents I needed, indeed I'm still waiting for a reply to my last email. My son came home one lunch time wearing the same nappy he was wearing when I took him in at 7.30am. I also needed to check his nappy after every nursery session as quite often he wasn't cleaned very well or he just hadn't been changed when he needed to be. My son is also generally much cleaner when he comes home from his new nursery.

We'd like to apologise for the experience you've recently had with Tinies Finchley and are really saddened that you have felt the need to remove your youngest child. As a previous parent you will be aware that our Nursery Manager was subject to a number of pregnancy related illnesses and forced to start her maternity leave earlier than intended which meant that there has been a period of turbulence within the nursery. We are aware of the areas which need to improve and have commissioned an additional Operations Manager to work with the staff group to improve delivery, parent communication and staff retention which will also help to create a more stable environment. Training has been initiated and we are currently reviewing the structure to ensure we can sustain the improvements that we are making. We are delighted that the Manager will be returning shortly from maternity leave to rejoin the management team. We recognise, and apologise, for the problems there have been with the administration and invoicing system currently in place, we are investing in a new system of administration for the nursery to be in place early next year which we are confident will greatly improve things for parents. For the outstanding issue you have please do contact Jayne Middleton at Head Office on email@example.com who will ensure that you receive a resolution.

My son has started at Tinies when he was only 10 months old, now 2 and a half year later we can safely say that this nursery has been the best choice. All his needs are met and exceeded. Very caring staff, not only in his group but throughout the team. Facilities are brilliant. Learning to play tennis, and French what more could we ask for.....

FRIENDLY WELCOMING NURSERY
I have 2 children aged 2 and 4 attending the nursery. Both are extremely happy there and we are very happy and relaxed leaving them in the care of the nursery. The nursery staff are always welcoming towards parents and children and create a very positive atmosphere for the kids. the surroundings are really welcoming for the children, nicely decorated, spacious, and plenty of activities laid out for them. The outside area is great and they also have the DL soft play & hall for when it rains.

We love Tinies Finchley!
I was heartbroken handing over my 11 month old to go back to work, however, the staff at Tinies have been amazing!
My daughter just loves being there now & I am getting a lot better at the morning drop off! The facilities are excellent & so clean. i loved the friendly staff from the 1st visit I had to look around, i came back 2 more times for piece of mind & to check that it wasn't just that I had met one lovely girl on that day! The staff are wonderful & are like lovely Aunties to my baby.

My daughter is 3yrs old and is very shy, upon starting at Tinies they have helped her settle, becoming more confident and giving her encouragement to be herself. She now loves going to "School"as she calls it so much that when we collect her she wants to stay. She has become great at sitting and eating herself. She loves books and drawing. Plenty of outdoor play as well as quite time when she needs it. She even started playing Tennis which she was so proud of herself for.

Extremely caring staff
The staff at Tinies really love and care about children. They observe the children closely and support them fully to develop their potential. Parents are informed about everything their child has done , the good and not so good! The staff are excellent at providing stimulating and original activities for the children and exceeding the early years curriculum.

Helpful, Happy, Quality, Variety, Safe
I am very happy with how my daughter has developed since joining Tinies. She was a a babbling 13 month old when she started and 3 months on, her vocabulary has grown exponentially, and is understood by everyone not just the immediate family. The staff have always been very helpful especially during the settling phase, which was harder for me than my daughter.

Great service, staff and facilities
Being linked with the David lloyds means the kids have a lot of activities to draw upon. The nursery is recently refurb end and very clean & modern. Staff are friendly and always available for discussion. It's a bit pricey, but I guess that's the UK governments fault :-) if you're in N12 I'd recommend them...

My son has some sensory problems and I put him into nursery to help him get used to other children. The staff have always been amazingly supportive of him and calm him down when he gets upset. It has taken him a long time to settle in but now he asks to go on weekends and always talks about the staff. The staff are brilliant and the facilities are excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent care & fantastic staff
Our 4 year old son transferred here 18 months ago when we moved. We were concerned as he'd been happy at his old nursery since 6 months. We needn't have worried as the Tinies staff were AMAZING and he settled immediately. They did an outstanding job during the toilet training period; have catered for our veggie dietary needs perfectly; and helped him adjust to having a baby sister, who has quickly settled in there too. Staff are caring + attentive and create a nurturing educational environment.
