New Stepping Stones Playgroup

Couldn't be happier

William, our 4 year old, is in his 2nd year at NSS and we couldn't be happier. The team is imaginative, organised, professional, experienced and warm. It's exactly what were looking for. Everyone responsible for William appears to be there out of an interest for the job and in doing it well.

It's a special place both I and my wife thoroughly recommend.

Fabulous, experienced and caring staff

I heard about the nursery through word of mouth when my eldest daughter was young, and I'm so glad I did. It's a wonderful, busy environment with staff who really care. They are approachable, kind and know the children really well.

Every day there is a new activity (like yoga, football, etc) and healthy snacks. Outside is a fun garden with sand and climbing equipment for dry days and indoors the toys/displays change all the time, often to reflect the topic of the week.

My younger daughter now attends and thoroughly enjoys it. I can't recommend New Stepping Stones highly enough!

First class playgroup in SW14

We cannot recommend New Stepping Stones Playgroup and all the staff that work there more highly. The care and attention that goes into everyday planning is first class. Each week there is a new topic and the creativity that goes into the topics is fantastic! My child has skipped in since day 1. All the staff care enormously for the children and it isn't just a job for them, they genuinely want to be there! The one on one attention for each unique child's demands are met too and nothing is ever too much. We feel desperately sad that it will be the end of an era for our son at New Stepping Stones Playgroup as he moves in to school in September, but we will most certainly stay in touch - they feel like extended family! Highly recommend this fun, caring and nurturing playgroup!

Wonderful!

I loved the relaxed and child-centred approach to care at New Stepping Stones play group. I have always felt extremely confident leaving my child with her key worker, safe in the knowledge that all her needs are being sensitively met. The extra-curricular activities offered at the nursery and included in the fees, such as yoga, music and drama have served to hugely enrich my child's preschool experience. My 4 year old daughter cried when I told her that her time at playgroup had come to an end. That says it all really!

A very special pre-school setting

My third child will shortly be leaving New Stepping Stones and we couldn't have asked for a better pre-school experience for him and our previous two children. The staff are simply excellent and are always available to speak to you about your child. Parents are needed and encouraged to be involved in the running of the nursery giving it a real community feel and also providing parents with an unrivalled insight into their child's experience. The children are exposed to a vast variety of activities on a weekly basis such as football, yoga, cookery, music and drama. There is something for everyone! The outdoor area is also multifaceted with space for role play, an astro patch, growing fruit, vegetables and herbs (used for cookery) and a space for learning and play with natural materials. I couldn't recommend this nursery any more highly.

A very happy and lovely playgroup

Silvia has been attending this nursery for nearly a year now and it is difficult to convey in a few words how happy she is. The atmosphere is relaxed, happy, supportive and nurturing and it has help her to become a confident and happy girl. There is a lot of story telling, singing, dancing and games that help the children learn quickly while they play.

A fabulous playgroup

I heard about this playgroup through a friend and have never looked back! My older child who is now 6 still talks about when she was there and my younger daughter started last year. My youngest child had never been left before attending stepping stones and was very clingy to me, all the staff are amazing and within 2 sessions my daughter was happily settled in. She always now asks every morning if it's a nursery day and is disappointed when it isn't! They always have a wide range of things ready for the children to do as soon as they arrive as well as activities from outside providers. The garden space is also lovely and very secure. I throughly recommend this playgroup to any parents as it really is a wonderful place for children to go to have fun, learn, be cared for as well as prepare for the change to big school when that time comes.

My daughter LOVES new stepping stones!

It took a short while for my 4yr old daughter to settle in when she was 2.5yrs, considering she'd never been left with anyone other than family before. The staff at stepping stones were amazing, reassured me, and made my little girl happy within moments of me leaving. It didn't take long for her to love going to nursery... I believe this is down to the staff and the activities they do every day, not just the friends she has there.
The best thing about stepping stones is the staff.. All parents with older children, and really care for your children.

We LOVE New Stepping Stones......!

We love New Stepping Stones..... It's the staff that make it. They are all really experienced so a calm atmosphere prevails. Each morning some kind of lovely new and imaginative activities are laid out for the kids. There is drama, football and yoga plus all of the other learning activities you would expect at a nursery with topics and themes being discussed on a weekly basis. It's a really cosy school with a lovely garden at the back sporting great play facilities.
I can thoroughly recommend the nursery.

Wonderful in every way

Both of my children have been to New Stepping Stones and I have only positive things to say about it. Without exception, the staff are incredibly warm and thoughtful, and sensitive to the needs of each child. The children have great fun and there is a lovely atmosphere. There is a huge range of activities provided, as well as small group work for older children (3+) to develop reading and writing skills. The staff are very attentive at giving feedback to parents about their child's work, play and development. I cannot recommend this group highly enough - you and your child would be lucky to be a part of it!

A fantastic playgroup providing a caring and fun...

I love the playgroup, they have provided my daughter with lots of special care and attention especially in the first few months after she started as she was a bit behind with speech. The teachers are wonderfully warm, caring with the little ones and they always offer fun and varied activities. I also greatly appreciate the level of feedback that they provide to us parents. The manager is super efficient at keeping everyone informed and it's easy to approach her or your child's key worker anytime. I would wholeheartedly recommend this playgroup to anyone.

A magical place

I feel so lucky that our son is attending such a nurturing and thoughtful pre-school playgroup. The staff team are fantastically accessible, open and considerate. My son has gained such a lot from his time there and I think his enthusiasm for the place is a real testament to the special care provided there.

The dream nursery. Look no further!

My three-year-old son wakes up every morning, desperate to head off for what he proudly calls 'school'. He is disappointed when it's the weekend, and positively dislikes school holidays. From my point of view as his mother, New Stepping Stones has been a home from home for him. My son does yoga, football, music, wet play - as well as the more serious stuff: learning about science, the human body, learning his numbers and how to get on with his friends as part of a group. The staff at New Stepping Stones are an incredible blend of intelligence, fun, compassion, curiosity, efficiency and everything you would wish for in teachers of young children. There is a garden; the children plant seeds and harvest sunflowers. They spotted that he was slowish to talk, and have gently but firmly helped him (and helped me, in turn, to help him) to make really good progress with his speech. They take care with every child, and treat each one as an individual. They know their likes and dislikes, their strengths and weaknesses. They are patient and kind, and their attitude flows through to the children.
