Sunnyfields Day Nursery (Orpington)

Excellent Caring Nursery

This is a lovely nursery that my daughter is very happy attending. She has flourished there and made friends with not only the children in her room (pre-school) but also in the toddler room. She is encouraged to read, draw, write and sing (her favourite) with outdoor play every day. She has also become less fussy with her eating. This nursery provides a gentle introduction into what will be expected of her when she starts Reception - recognising her name, hanging her coat on her peg, etc.

passionate flexible innovative...

The staff is friendly, flexible and people that love their jobs. Our daughter is happy to go to school and we can see the effort that is put into her care as she comes home knowing new songs, rhymes and concepts. We get daily reports on her well-being and periodic written reports on her progress. The staff is engaged and encouraging towards my daughter's development. This is an amazing place for children and a place where we as parents feel happy and confident to leave our child.

Caring and positive environment

What strikes me about Sunnyfields is that I see parents taking their first child, then their second and so on. I regard this as the best recommendation. The staff are always so welcoming and happy and give plenty of feedback and advice. The opportunities for physical development are huge as the garden is very well equipped and suitable for all ages. The indoor activities stimulate the child's creativity and social inter. The menus are varied and inviting, despite the use of meat substitute (!).

Happy Caring Safe enviroment

Dropping your child off for the first time at a nursery is never going to be a good day and it certainly was not for us. After a few days this gets easier and it did not take us long to realise that Sunnyfields was a great place for our daughter to be, the staff are wonderful all really love the children and just looking at them this is visibly evident. As we live locally we often see the staff out and about if our daughter is with us they always want to say hello and want a cuddle which our dau
