St Edmunds Pre-School Kindergarten
A brilliant pre-school!
I cannot speak highly enough of St Edmunds, my son has just finished at the pre-school and has had a fantastic time over the last 18 months. His development in a short space of time has been incredible and I credit that to Mrs Noad and her wonderful team. To start with he was shy and unsure but with the support, kindness and guidance of the teachers he is now so much more confident, coming out of the sessions with a big smile on his face along with his latest masterpiece. He has learnt to write his own name along with doing simple calculations and I feel that the teachers have prepared him for starting school later this year.
When the time came to look at pre-schools I was nervous and didn't like the idea of sending him. Then I met Mrs Noad my concerns were completely relieved, so much so that I didn't even visit any of the other schools on my list. Mrs Noad is warm, caring, kind, supportive (to the tearful parents as well as the children) and for me very importantly, always there. I can't think of a single time that I have taken my son to pre-school and she along with Mrs Green hasn't been on the door to welcome the children and again on the door to see them out at the end of the session. I know that she has a wonderful team supporting her and I know my son adores them all.
Mrs Green, Ms Hemmingsen, Miss Lordan, Miss Green and Miss Varney are absolutely wonderful and bring a great combination of knowledge, experience and youthful enthusiasm. I must also mention dance class with Mrs Higgin's on a Thursday morning, this has always been a highlight for my son and I have greatly enjoyed watching all the children grow in confidence as they perform in their end of term dance shows.
I would be devastated that my son had to leave for primary school but luckily for me my younger son will start at St Edmunds in September so I get to go through the experience again, I would not consider for a moment sending him anywhere else!

Brilliant preschool! I chose this preschool for my son having taught lots of children from this preschool and having visited it in a professional capacity.
I couldn't have made a better choice for my son. He has flourished and thrived in this setting. He really struggled socially before starting here but the teachers were patient, kind and nurturing towards him. He has always been happy here and he is totally ready for school, thanks to their input.
With a well rounded and loving approach to educating children. St Edmunds is one of the best decisions you can make for your child. The teachers really do go above and beyond.

Outstanding preschool leads by Mrs Noad and an amazing group of lovely caring staff. The place is very welcoming and warm, creating a safe environment for children to learn and grow confident.
They put a lot of effort for everyone to feel excited and involved in the children's journey, including lovely 'dance shows' and Xmas plays.
Always willing to help and listen parents concerns, Mrs Noad and staff do an amazing job every day. Their enthusiasm in the morning makes us as parents, leave the hall knowing our kids are well cared and most importantly happy.

Outstanding Preschool - the best decision we made
St Edmunds preschool is quite simply outstanding, from the first meeting with Mrs Noad, we knew that this was the right preschool for our little girl. All the teachers are caring, encouraging, supportive with the children, and are amazing. Our little girl is finishing this summer, and we can honestly say that we will miss the preschool so very much. Being at St Edmunds our little girl has blossomed and learnt so many new and wonderful things, this is due to the staff commitment and dedication towards the children. They really do go the extra mile and we couldn't wish for a better educational start for her.
All credit to Mrs Noad and her amazing team..... we honestly recommend this preschool to future parents, because we see the joy in our daughter's face every time she goes, and how much is has grown in confidence and ability.
Thank you so much to all the wonderful teachers for everything....

Great Pre -School Provider
A fantastic nursery that I highly recommend - both my boys attended this nursery and I can honestly say it was the best start to their early learning years they could of had - Mrs Noad and her team are incredibly caring and supportive and we will miss them when our youngest starts school in September.

My daughter has been at St Edmunds Pre-School for the last two years and it has been a wonderful experience for her and for us. Not only has she come on hugely in her reading and writing, but she comes home after every session with tales of exciting activities and new things she has learnt - she has had so much fun! She is always desperate to go to preschool. But I think what really sets St Edmunds apart is the wonderful staff. They constantly go the extra mile to make things enjoyable, to really get to know your child and to support you as a family. The Christmas shows and dance shows are brilliant!

A wonderful preschool
The team at St Eds are wonderful. I have been so grateful for the love and support they have shown my son and so impressed by the things he has learnt and the artwork he has created! I love the way they transition the children from teeny new-joiners through to the move to big school. My little boy regularly teaches me new things he has learnt at preschool. He is about to move on but fortunately, my younger son will join in September. I know he too will be in great hands!

A caring stimulating environment much loved by us...
St Edmunds is a wonderful pre-school. From the moment I looked around with my daughter (now 7) in 2009, I was taken by the feeling of calm and kindness the staff build in to everything that they do. Both my children have been to the pre-school and we continue to feel that it offers the very best early years education: a wide range of activities both indoors and out, opportunities to create art, bake, climb, share stories and learn music and dance. More than this, we feel that the staff, who have nearly all been there for at least a decade, are truly interested in the children, their concerns and interests - we feel that our whole family is supported by the staff of this wonderful, caring pre-school.

Super caring and top quality - the best in...
St Edmunds is a very high quality preschool where you know that the staff looking after your children have their very best interests at heart. The children benefit from a firm but fair approach that creates a calm environment for the children to play and socialise together. The staff don't chop and change as they often do in nurseries which means the children get to know and trust their carers. The children learn how to play with each other and about patience, kindness, tolerance and respect. They produce some lovely creative artwork and grow in confidence to perform, for example through the annual Christmas show. Mrs Noad leads the school with authority and care. Mrs Green is particularly skilled in giving parents the assurances they need when there are tears or other upsets at drop off. What a wonderful place. I would recommend it to anyone.

Both my children (3.5 years gap between them) have attended St Edmunds'. My eldest has left but still talks about it with fond memories and my youngest is due to leave at the end of this month to start Primary School. Sending our children here was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Mrs Noad and her team are brilliant. The children always look forward to going to preschool and always come out beaming at the end of their sessions. Mrs Green is more often than not there to greet them with a big smile. The balance between learning and play is just right and the children are taught to be respectful of their teachers and friends. My youngest continually surprises me with some of the things he has produced at school or new words he has learnt, using them in the correct context. Not to mention all the fantastic shows the children put on, singing and dancing with lots of action. We will be very sad to leave St Edmunds but will definitely stay in touch.

My daughter has had the best educational and playful journey in St. Edmund's pre-school. She has gained a lot of new skills i.e. writing, the love for reading books and also developed her personality and made a lot of new lovely friends. She has always happily attended pre-school and spoke fondly of all the teachers and staff. It is an outstanding pre-school and I am looking forward for my second daughter to start her education there soon. There have been fabulous shows performed and many activities organised which children and parents loved.

Outstanding pre-school in every way
Both my daughters attended St Edmund's and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the pre-school. The staff are committed to ensuring the children are welcome and feel loved and looked after. My slightly nervous daughter has grown in confidence due to the nurturing and caring atmosphere and is so looking forward to starting school in September, where she is clearly expecting much of the same. Thanks to all the staff for taking such good care of both my girls.

The best pre school in Beckenham
My little boy has been here for two years and I can truly say that this was the only choice for me after visiting a quite few other preschools. The staff are so caring and lovely, you can tell they all really enjoy what they do plus the staff have all been there a long time, not a high turnover of staff which I think says a lot too. A sad day when he has to leave but I would recommend this preschool to anyone. He has come on a much since he started and it has given him such a good foundation when he does come to start primary school. Such a caring, nurturing environment under the brilliant leadership of Mrs Noad and of course her right hand woman Mrs Green!

Learning in a loving & nuturing environment
St Edmunds is an OUTSTANDING pre-school which is fully attributable to the brilliant staff & management team. Their ethos & methods are perfectly suited to maximising toddler learning, gives 2-4 yr olds the best introduction to learning & enjoyment thereof. Our 3 children attended St Edmunds; eldest is finishing yr 8, middle returns as a yr 6 after summer & our little one has just started at St Edmunds. She absolutely loves it & the staff still remember her big brothers. Best decision made!

Three happy kids!
Our three children have all attended St Edmund's and have all had lovely experiences there. We've been attending the pre-school non-stop for the past 5 years and although it has seen some major transitions, it has gone from strength to strength. The fabulous staff have remained a constant in our childrens' lives with the same ladies caring for all of them. Our youngest will be leaving this summer as he is going off to school, and we'll be extremely sad to be saying goodbye. Thanks to you all

My daugther has been in St Edmunds Pre-School for 1 year. She loved the staff and the activities (painting, singing, dancing, etc). We've noticed that she had a good improvement on her English, as English is not our first language. Also, the staff is very kind with the children and parents, when we had some questions or worries, they've always answered quickly.

The BEST preschool in Beckenham
My twins have attended St Edmunds for 2 years from 2011 to 2013 and have loved every second. The staff are caring, kind and nurturing, whilst teaching the children discipline in a gentle and loving way. They have daily focused activities and they often come home with works of art that they are very proud of. The staff are also very experienced with twins and helped mine to become more independent from each other, whilst also allowing them to be twins! Mrs Noad and her team are amazing.

Well done to the staff at St Edmunds!
My son has been attending St Edmunds since April 2013. As he's only 2.5 years old it was really daunting for him to leave me at the door but the staff were absolutely brilliant and very caring, he loves going to pre-school now and we have added more sessions. I'm so pleased for all the staff it's well deserved!

The staff are friendly, professional and genuinely care about the children they have in their care. It's enthusing to see the children having lots of fun, learning through play alongside structure, routine & discipline, They have the balance just right and I for one am not at all surprised that they were recently awarded outstanding by Ofsted.
